It always amazes me how something as fragile and ephemeral as a flower in bloom can turn your whole day around, lifting your spirits and brightening your mood. Spring is bursting out all over the place in New York and turning the grey of the city into an explosion of blossom. The little community garden around the corner is home to a glorious magnolia tree that is currently putting on the most dazzling display.
A single cluster of blooms can obliterate the drabbest of backdrops.
Hurray for springtime.
