As I was going through my files doing a bit of a spring clean, I came across some photos I took when I visited the Bronx Zoo and I felt compelled to share them. They are of the most endearing animals I have encountered to date – lemurs. There is something about their delicate features and their incredible eyes that I find utterly captivating. It is said that eyes are the windows to the soul, and if that’s true, these little animals throw their souls wide open to anyone who chances to look upon them. To meet their gaze is one of the most enchanting experiences you will ever have.
I have never seen lemurs in the wild, as I have yet to travel to Madagascar, but I hope I will someday. And I hope beyond hope that when I get to Madagascar, these lovely creatures will still exist in the wild.
